UPDATE: The leg was not salvageable :( Surgery is scheduled for Sunday morning
💙 Tessa's 💙 big day! Remember Tessa Girl? Of course you do! So many of you donated to her surgery and medical costs. Unfortunately our vet was out of the office all week and since she's been stable and comfortable, he wanted to wait and do it himself. She's started to scab over. Don't know if that's good or bad considering they will certainly need to debride the entire wound. But look at how improved her eyes are! 💙
The doctor viewed her upclose photos and said there is a 50% chance thwarting amputation and saving her leg with skin grafts 🙏
Either way, she's going to the vet at 11:30 and I'm hoping nothing will delay whichever procedure winds off up being the right one for her so she can begin her path to recovery.
Keep Tessa in your thoughts today as both these options are big surgeries and she's a tiny girl less than two months old.
